“As a freshman in high school, my experience with FFA was greatly lacking,” Polson said. “After a change in leadership, my new advisor helped me find what I was looking for — a place in FFA to call home. This feeling of inclusion and home within FFA is something I wish for every high school student to experience. I choose to serve to help others find a place to belong and flourish. By telling my story, I hope to inspire other members who can relate to freshman Hattie. This next year of service will allow me to further my growth as a teammate, a leader, and an advocate for agriculture, as well as connect with members as they become rooted in FFA.”
