Career Goal: Obtain a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education to become an Agricultural Educator/ FFA Advisor working with high school students to further their personal growth, leadership skills, and prepare them for a future career in or out of the agriculture industry.

“Having a fairly unique background in FFA and agriculture, I believe that no matter someone’s history or past experiences, everyone has an unlimited source of potential and belonging in this organization,” Sturgis said. “I know that FFA and Agriculture Education gave me a sense of belonging no matter where I was at, and to be able to encourage students to take all opportunities in front of them and help them recognize their potential is the greatest gift. Whether a first-year member or someone preparing to hang up their jacket for the last time, I have found that FFA enables all students to grow in unlimited ways. I intend to seize this opportunity of serving the Kansas FFA Association to influence and impact members with purpose and show them that their growth and experiences in this organization are limitless.”
