As the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization, the American FFA Degree shows an FFA member’s dedication to his or her chapter and state FFA association. It demonstrates the effort FFA members apply toward their supervised agricultural experience and the outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement they exhibited through their FFA career.

American FFA Degree recipients show promise for the future and have gone above and beyond to achieve excellence.

Application Due Date: February 15

Reminders

  • “How long is an FFA member eligible to apply for their American FFA Degree or continue their FFA membership?” A student can be an FFA member until November 30 following their fourth National FFA Convention after graduation…unless there is some military service to consider and then they can be a member until age 23. So a quick way to determining if a student is still eligible is to take the year the student graduated and count the number of National FFA Convention and Expos following the high school graduation date.
  • All degree candidates need to include a working e-mail address that they will have access to the fall that they are receiving their degree.
  • Members wishing to be considered as a “star” candidate will need to send an email to the state FFA office indicating the star area they would like to be considered for. Candidates do not have to submit the battery when they submit their degree application.
